More Successful Adoptions
Hi!  My name is Elvis.  My Momma adopted me in June 2007.  We now live in Maryland and it is very  cold up here.  My Momma says we will be back in SC some day.  I have a big brother Bear and I just love him.  My grandparents love me almost as much as Mom!

I adopted Red (boy) in July of 2007. My mother, sister and I came by the SPCA just to take a look. I had been longing to have a void filled after losing my dog after 15 years. Once I saw Red, I  knew that I absolutely had to take him home with me, he had my heart the minute I saw him.  The second I brought Red home, everyone fell in love with him instantly, especially my roommates 1 year old....they are now best friends! I knew I had picked the dog that was meant for me. He has become the neighborhood dog that everyone loves and comes to visit. People truly can 't get enough of him and he loves all the attention and affection. He is the sweetest boy and LOVES giving kisses. My  two roommates and I really love him and he is spoiled rotten, especially from his "grand-parents" who pick him up everyday while I'm at work to spend time with him. He is definitely living the high life. When I come home Red always greets me with tag wags and kisses, that's the best part about coming home.

Thank You so much for my Red Boy, it has made our home complete...... I am so lucky that he picked me for adoption!

P.S. How could you not LOVE those ears!!!!!

In July of 07 I stopped by the adoption center with no intention of adopting a dog that day.  I looked at several dogs in their cages but was told a story about a gorgeous dog that had been at the center for a while, sent somewhere and then brought back, apparently on his last trip.  I'm an animal lover, especially dogs.  If I had the property and the money I would probably have 7 or 8 dogs by now.  I had planned on getting a second dog with my job, I wanted my current "child" to have company while I was at work.  Well the story tugged at my heart.  I couldn't stand to have a dog put down because no one would adopt him.  So we went out to the patio and played with him.  His name was Waldo.  Waldo was a Plott.  While I was there he was a hyper thing. I figured it was just because someone was paying him attention, after all he's a hound dog, my thought, hound dogs aren't supposed to be hyper.  Ha!!!! I was about to be taught a lesson.  Well I decided to take him home that day.  Boy was my pup gonna be jealous.  It took a bit, but she got used to him.  They learned to like each other after she learned he wasn't leaving and he learned she it was her house.  Waldo was renamed Woody because he didn't respond to the other.  There were some training issue at first but all in all we are one happy family now and they both have re-learned that I'm the Alpha Female in the House.  Attached are a couple pictures of the two.

Thanks so much

I got Olive in April of 2007. She is a German Shorthaired Pointer. From the time she wakes up till the time she starts snoring at night she goes "FULL STEAM AHEAD". She is completely "BUCK WILD" but is the sweetest dog you could ever own. I think she is part kangaroo because she jumps probably 5 feet off the ground flat footed, its purely amazing. She is the love of my life and will remain that way forever.

We adopted Monty in October 2007 and he is loving it!  He has a new sister and 2 step-brothers from my daughters family.  We are so happy to have him in our family - Thanks.

I am so thankful I got lost in Goose Creek one day. I drove by the shelter and something said STOP!! I am here and you need to come get me. I stopped, looked at and played with several pups. This little lady had the best and most playful growl ever. She still does. Here is our girl, now called Diamonde Daisey. She is loads of endless energy and a great snuggler too. We love having her and she does so well since she has settled in to her new home. Now she is another one of our critters and she travels wherever we go.

We adopted Bailey (formerly Mary Ann) from the Doc Williams Shelter in May 07. She is a bundle of energy and joy.  What a great dog! She sure loves the mountains of New Hampshire and having her very own pond. She is such a great swimmer-we will begin training her for Dock Dog competitions and agility this summer.

Thanks for our new best friend.

We adopted "Whisper", later changed to "Buddy", in August 2004.  As soon as we walked in, we knew he was the one.  Now, nearly four years later, we still feel that way.  He has been the best addition to our family.  He is a big dog, but thinks he is a little lap dog!  We love him lots!

Thanks so much!

Greetings...We adopted Toby (You named him Nixon) in Sept 2007. He is a Golden Retriever with either some Shepard or Chow mixed in. He is a wonderful addition to our family. He gets along so well with our 3 year old daughter. His buddy is a 1 year old yellow Lab/Basset Hound mix named Roscoe. When those two get together, they will run themselves silly for hours. Toby is wonderful and is happy to run and play around our daughter and any children that want to play in our back yard. He is very affectionate. He loves to play with and destroy squeak toys.

Thank you for finding him for us.

Hi...My husband and I adopted Ficus a few months ago and he has been the perfect addition to our family! He is a great cuddler and loves his new sisters. He gets along with everyone and is quick to purr. Thanks so much for a great cat!

We adopted Sugar and Cally last month. Sugar (female, front) is now 11 weeks old and Cally is 9 weeks old. Sugar is very hyper, crazy, and wild but very loving and loves to sleep with me at night. Cally (female, back) got her name because she is a calico cat. She is hyper, crazy and wild, also, just like sugar. They love playing, sleeping, and eating together. We look forward adopting more pets from the DWSPCA in the future.
