Successful Adoptions
One of the first adoptions made at the NEW Doc Williams SPCA Adoption Center.

Another happy ending!

We adopted our cat (then named Kat) from your adoption center a little more than a month ago. She is the sweetest cat I have ever owned! We named her Swiper  after a character in my son's favorite cartoon. She is very gentle, loving, and she definitely completed our family. I am sending a picture of her in her favorite spot to lay, at the foot of our bed on our feather blanket.

Thank you so much!

Ms Annabell was adopted the end of October  2002. She has taken over the house and is very spoiled, She must wash faces and ears of the grand kids when they visit our house. She loves to ride short or long trips and has traveled 1200 miles round trip in three days. She is also very protective of her house and every thing outside. She plays very well with the three cats and referees their small fights.

(or it maybe the other way around)

I adopted (Jerry) the afternoon of March 30th. As you can see, by the next day, he had made himself at home. It has been a week now and he and my existing cat are doing fine. Shewww!! I have also decided to change his name to Blue. He has the blue eyes and coloring of a flame point siamese. This makes my second SPCA pet. So far, so good!.

Thanks,

We adopted Leo in August of 2003. We came by the SPCA to see him and the
other dogs several times before making our final decision. After the first
day of having Leo at home, we knew we picked the dog that was meant for
us! Everyone at the SPCA was very nice and helpful and we're very grateful
for our Leo!

Thanks!

Boo was adopted in July 2004.  He is well trained and can be a bed hog at times!  We got him groomed and fattened up!  As of Aug. 25 we decided, since Boo is such a great dog, that he needed another friend.  Winnie (pictured) is a lab/retriever mix that we also adopted from Doc Williams.  These two are a special addition to our home and our two children.
Hi my name is Tyler (left) and I was adopted in May 04.  I love my new home.  My big sister Madison (right) is so much fun.  She teaches me so many things.  My parents are really wonderful because we go for a lot of walks and I get to visit with all the neighborhood dogs.  My favorite thing to do is go for truck rides because I get to look out the back window with my sister.  Thank you Doc Williams for taking care of me so my new family could adopt me.
My name is Lu-Lu and I was adopted a year ago from the shelter where I lived for 6 months. Let me tell you what a year it has been! My parents really love me and spoil me rotten. I got to go on a great adventure in August where we traveled from SC to NJ, then to OH and then to San Diego CA, where I now call home with my two great owners. I have a huge backyard to run and play in, sometimes I have to keep the neighbor's cats in line and let them know I am queen of this yard but other than that I am living the high life. I may have spent alot of time at the shelter but it was worth the wait for the two who came to rescue me. Now I am happy as can be and love every minute I have with them. They have definitely given me a great life.
Hi, I adopted Bocho, formerly Brophy, at the Daniel Island festival on Oct. 23, 04.  He's a good buddy and has been very good in the house and when playing with his sister Sasha.  She came from the Francis Willis SPCA and both are German Shepherd mix dogs and about the same age.  I'm glad that I saw Bocho on Daniel Island and that he could become a part of my family.

Loren Cain

My name is 'Hemi' and my owners Greg and Pat Williams rescued me in July 2004.  I get plenty to eat and I get to play all day.  I get special treats except for when I steal tissues!
I was just out looking after the loss of my 13-year-old Siamese.  I saw Graycie at the new adoption center and fell in love with her immediately.  We brought her home on February 7th.  She has been a wonderful addition to our home.  She loves sitting on her various window perches.  Her favorite toys are crinkle balls and empty boxes.   I forgot just how much energy a kitten can have :)

This is my little Baby Charlotte who I got from the Doc Williams Adoption Center in September of 2004.  I knew when I was there that I absolutely had to take her home with me.  She led a hard life before but now is by far the most spoiled dog ever.  She loves to eat and play with her doggie friends Princess and Bailey.  When I come home in the house, Charlotte loves to jump on her back legs and wave her hands in the air and I swear she loves to smile.  Charlotte likes to go to the doggie park to chase the ducks.  At night, she cuddles up with me all the way under the covers and  all 11 pounds of her takes up more room in my big bed than me.  I just wanted to thank you all for introducing us and allowing me to give her the best home possible.

I recently adopted the coolest boy dog in the world.... Cooper.  From the minute my roommate and I saw him we knew he was coming to our home.  He loves going to the dog park and swimming until he can't touch the bottom, and then rolling in the sand until he looks black.  Cooper also loves his two new sisters Princess and Charlotte, both DWSPCA adoptees.  Our puppy is so smart he knew his name as soon as we gave it to him. Thank you for giving us a chance to love him.

Ashleigh Owen

We adopted Chester from SPCA in December 2004. His name was "Elmo" when we got him but we changed his name to Chester. He is the most loving dog that both myself and my new husband have had. He was the perfect dog for us to start our life together with. As u can see we take many pictures of him and he loves it. He's a ham.  We have taken him on many road trips and loves it in Illinois. He loves snow and his new "grand-parents." They have come to see him every month since we have had him. He's their first 'grandchild' and they love him dearly. We eventually want to adopt another similar dog from SPCA. Thank You so much for letting us experience our new lives with Chester it has made it a very interesting and wonderful first year.......
