Project Education
Executive Director, Pearl Sutton, teaches students at Howe Hall Elementary about animal awareness on November 6, 2003.
Another Project Education opportunity at Westview Primary School on November 24, 2003 where Pearl Sutton taught 9 classes of second graders how to properly treat and handle animals to prevent being bitten and how to understand animal language.
On February 26, 2004, Executive Director Pearl Sutton conducted an educational class at Boulder Bluff Elementary School.  Below, the students participated in a demontration of body language methods to use if they encounter stray dogs.  Below, on the left, the children are standing still with their hands at their side (act like a tree) and on the right, the students are in a tuck position with their fists over their ears (act like a rock).
On April 24, 2008, the DWSPCA Adoption Center and Executive Director Pearl Sutton
hosted an educational class for the Goose Creek Head Start where the children
learned about safety with regards to animal, dogs in particular.
The Head Start classes also made donation to the Adoption Center.
